PhEEL Masterclasses in Emotion Theory

The PhEEL Masterclasses in Emotion Theory present opportunities for advanced students and specialists to engage intensively with a prominent emotion theorist over the course of a day. We discuss two key texts that present the core of their account as well as their critique of other views (both pre-read). The Masterclasses are organised by the Philosophy of Emotion Essen Lab (PhEEL) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. They aim to promote a deeper understanding of important strands of contemporary research on emotions.

The PhEEL Masterclasses are organised by Hichem Naar and Neil Roughley. To register for participation, please write to hichem.naar@uni-due.de with your name and affiliation. All registered participants will receive papers to be pre-read.
In order to increase the accessibility of the Masterclasses to students, PhEEL will cover 50€ of the accommodation costs for the first ten external student participants to register.
