The workshop investigates the relationship between epistemic values and epistemic ‚worth‘. It discusses different kinds of epistemic values – such as the value of knowledge and zetetic values – and ask how their realization impacts on the respective person’s epistemic ‚credit‘ or ’standing‘.
Speakers: Claire Field (Zurich), David Horst (Lisbon), Lilian O’Brien (Helsinki), Sebastian Schmidt (Zurich), Matthew Vermaire (St. Andrew’s), Barbara Vetter (Berlin).
The workshop is organized by David Horst (Lisbon) and Erasmus Mayr (Erlangen) as part of the DFG-funded project „Epistemische Kompetenz. Entwurf einer Neuen Tugenderkenntnistheorie“.
