Philosophy for Democracy and Diversity
An initiative by SW*IP Germany with support from DGPhil and GAP
In view of the upcoming state elections in Saxony-Anhalt (September 6) and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (September 20), the three philosophical societies SW*IP Germany, DGPhil, and GAP have established a joint special budget to support events and initiatives promoting democracy and diversity as well as the freedom of research and teaching on site, quickly and with low barriers.
Details for application:
- Members of universities in the federal states of Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (including students) are eligible to apply.
- Funding is provided for initiatives and events promoting democracy and diversity as well as the freedom of research and teaching in Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
- The amount of costs applied for should generally not exceed €500. (Partial funding is possible.)
- The application (max. 1 page) should include the following: (1) name(s) and institutional affiliation of the applicant(s), (2) brief description of the event/initiative for which funding is requested, (3) amount of funding requested and brief explanation of the planned use of funds, (4) other funding sources, if applicable.
