Updates: Homepage, Domain, and Newsletter

We are pleased to present this revised GAP homepage to you. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to it!

Along with the transition to the new homepage, we have also updated our newsletter system and integrated the submission of announcements into the homepage. Once approved by us, announcements now appear online, and as usual, everyone who has subscribed to the weekly information email will receive such a message every Monday containing all new announcements. Subscribing and unsubscribing continue to be managed through our Member Portal.

The first information email in its updated form will be sent out this evening, from the sender address noreply@gap.ngo. If you do not find this message in your inbox, please check whether the message has ended up in your spam folder. Since newly registered domains are sometimes misused for spam, it is currently still possible that individual email providers may apply such automated sorting. However, we firmly expect that this issue will occur, at most, only in rare cases, and in any case only for a short time.

On this occasion, we have also introduced a further category of announcements: it is now possible to announce new publication series, such as new journals or book series. This also includes series aimed at the general public (e.g. video channels, podcasts, blogs), but only if the series as a whole meets the PhilPublica guidelines for the selection of contributions. Two announcements had already appeared here, before we were finally able to designate the new category as such and set it up technically. We are also very happy to retroactively include new publication series founded since the cutoff date of January 1, 2025.

In addition to the new URL https://gap.ngo/, the familiar https://www.gap-im-netz.de/ will of course remain active as a redirect.

We also remain reachable via all previous email addresses. As sender addresses, we currently continue to use the familiar @gap-im-netz.de addresses, but we will soon be switching to the corresponding @gap.ngo addresses here as well.

Best regards
